It’s finally here! We’ve made it through a whole week of training camp! I still can’t believe we’ve made it this far.
Let me give a rundown on what everything’s been looking like. Like I said, we’ve already gone through a whole week of training camp. It was definitely a change coming into that environment again, and it was definitely something to sleep in a tent for a week.
But the only thing that was on my mind when getting to know my squad and our leaders was how refreshing it was to be back in that Christ centered community. I was just so grateful to be back in that environment of people who are so deeply rooted in their relationship with the Lord.
This week has been full of intentionality, worship, prayer, and learning to adapt to porta potties and bucket showers (what a humbling experience). As we all learn to navigate these next nine months together, all I can truly do is just give thanks to the Lord for calling me here and for being so gracious to all of us.
The next step is to go to Adrian, Georgia to do some domestic ministry for a week, then come back for debrief for about three days, and then we’re off to Greece! As we prepare to leave for our first official first week of ministry, I would love prayer for all of our squad to keep our eyes focused on the Lord and for a fire to burn in each one of us as we finally get to do kingdom work .
And that’s on R squad is being sent off!
