After a 10 hour flight and a 16 hour layover, we’ve finally made it to Greece! This very trip is the thing that I used to be so be so hesitant of, being unsure if the Lord was going to work it out, and not wanting to fully believe that this was actually what was in His perfect plan.
We arrived here almost a week ago, and my team and I have our own little house in this quaint little neighborhood in Thessaloniki. Also, it’s so crazy that we are living in the very place where Apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonians in the Bible. So far our days have been filled with getting situated, starting ministry, and exploring the city we get to call our home for two months.
As for ministry, we’re partnering with Hope Church Romania to not only help advertise them, but we get to evangelize to people in the heart of the city. What a blessing! It has been awesome to just talk to people and get to know them, knowing that the Lord will plant seeds wherever we go.
As we were sitting in church the other day, one thing really stuck out to me. No matter the country, we as Christian’s whether Greek, American, Romanian- we all worship the same God. The same God that bled and died for us no matter who we are. No matter the language, we are still able to worship the Lord just the same even all the way over here in Greece. I had that same realization in Mexico on my last trip, but every time we attended a service full of fellowship, worship, and a good Word, I am filled with awe and wonder.
As we continue our ministry and living here over the next month and a half, I know the Lord is going to bless us and do so much through each of us. From eagerly waiting for this moment for four months to finally being here, I can’t wait to see the Lord’s plans unfold!
